VortexThe eye of a vortex or whirlpool is a nothingness. There's no water in there. If there was water in it, it wouldn't be the eye.
In the same way, if there are circumstances or conditions in the eye (I) of you, that would not be you. We are that nothingness, that space within which, through which and around which all the circumstances and conditions of our life occur.
So, really, we're like a nothingness. But, we're the same kind of nothingness that the eye of a vortex is.
You can say that it's nothing, and this is where the paradox is: it's nothing in terms of substance, but it's everything in terms of structure. The eye of the whirlpool is the whole ball of wax when it comes to the whirlpool. It is the organizing principle, but it itself is nothing.
This is a different way of thinking.
